Coaches
Along with Alpine Canada, Alpine Ski NS is on a mission to develop the next generation of great coaches. At each development stage, young skiers must acquire and develop their physical and mental abilities, capacities and skills at the right time.
The ACA-CSC coach education program links directly with the ACA LTAD stages of growth and skill development. For further information on the Coaching pathway and certification please checkout the ACA website.
If you are interested in coaching and don’t know where to start, reach out to your home club head coach or email Ski NS Coach Education Director: jgraham@sportnovascotia.ca
Officials
If you are a ski racer parent, we need you as a ski race official! Those gates aren’t going to judge themselves! Seriously though, officiating is a rewarding way to get involved with the sport. It is also one of the best ways to watch the racing. Level 1 officials courses are only a few hours long and are offered by the clubs at their home hill. Level 2 and above are offered in a classroom setting (in-person and virtual) and annual refresher & update courses are available annually.
